Ingredients:
½ white onion thinly sliced
1 Tbsp butter
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
¼ tsp ground black pepper
¼ cup Rose Hip Rosemary Hard Cider
½ cup cream cheese
½ cup sour cream
⅛-¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ tsp garlic powder
Leaves from 1 sprig of parsley finely chopped
Recipe:
Peel the onion, cut it in half, and slice it very thinly.
Heat butter in a non-stick pan or skillet over medium-low heat.
Add the onions, sprinkle with sugar, salt, black pepper, and saute for 10-15 minutes stirring every few minutes.
Pour a little bit of cider in and let it sizzle out. Stir, add cider, sizzle, etc.
After about 10 minutes, your onions should be deeply golden brown and fragrant.
Transfer the onions to a cutting board and chop coarsely into small pieces.
Mix the cream cheese and sour cream.
Mix in the onions, parsley, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
Serve with crackers, chips, or baguette and enjoy!
